The Light Loves the Person Underneath
The day is ending, and the armor you wore so well is finally heavy enough to drop. You are terrified that if you stop moving, the people who love you will see the cracks you've been hiding behind your strength.
They will realize you were never actually holding it together. But listen — the light does not love the armor.
It loves the person underneath it. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He did not wait for the boy to clean up or stand up straight. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. The embrace came first.
Your exhaustion is not a betrayal of your family. It is the honest place where the light can finally reach you.
Stop running. The ones who love you do not need your performance.
They just need you to be here.
