the paralyzing fear that admitting you are tired will make you unlovable

Rest Before You Are Ready

The day is ending, and the armor you wore to hold yourself together finally feels too heavy to carry. You are afraid that if you let it drop—if you admit you are tired, if you show the cracks—the love you rely on will vanish.

As if exhaustion makes you unworthy of being held. But listen: the light does not love you for your endurance.

It loves you because you are its own. There is a rest that waits for you, not as a reward for finishing strong, but as a gift for simply being here.

You do not have to perform okayness for the One who sees behind the mask. Let the shoulders fall.

Let the breath deepen. The love was there before you lifted the weight, and it will be there after you set it down.
