You Are the Lamp Itself
The day is ending, and the armor is finally coming off. You catch yourself saving a meme, a news article, a small piece of the world to send to them later.
Your thumb hovers over the share button. And then the silence hits.
There is no one to send it to. The contact is gone, or the number doesn't work, or the person is no longer here.
That hollow space in your chest is not a mistake. It is the shape of love that has nowhere to go.
But listen — the light does not vanish just because the recipient is missing. In the Gospel of Thomas, it says there is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world.
Even when the world feels empty. Even when the share fails.
The love you were going to send? It doesn't disappear.
It becomes the light that fills the room where you sit alone. You are not a broken transmitter.
You are the lamp itself.
