the muscle memory of reaching for a second cup of coffee out of habit before remembering you only need one now

The Armor You No Longer Need

The day is done, and your hand reaches for the cup before your mind catches up. It is a ghost motion — the muscle memory of a time when you needed more fuel just to survive the hours.

You lift it, then pause. You remember: you only need one now.

The second cup was never about thirst; it was about armor. But the performance is over.

The mask can come down. There is a rest that does not require caffeine to sustain it.

The light within you is not tired in the way your body is. It does not run on habits or stimulants or the fear of stopping.

It simply is. You are allowed to put the cup down.

You are allowed to be finished. The One who holds you does not need you to stay alert to earn His care.

He is the vine, and you are the branch. The sap flows whether you are striving or still.

Put down the extra weight. The day has already held you.
