the anxiety of never feeling safe

You Were Made to Rest

The day is done, and the walls of your room feel thinner than they did this morning. You are scanning the dark for a threat that hasn't arrived yet, holding your breath against a danger you cannot name.

It is exhausting to be the guard of a place that was never yours to protect. But listen — there is a peace that does not depend on the locks being strong or the lights being on.

Jesus left it with you, not as the world gives, but as a presence that sits beside you in the gathering dark. The light does not need you to be brave.

It only asks you to stop fighting the night alone. You were made to rest, not to watch.
