You Do Not Have to Shrink
The day is done, and the quiet has arrived to take inventory of every word you said. You are tired from carrying the weight of so many sorries, terrified that if you stop apologizing for your existence, people will finally see you as too much to love.
But listen — there was a woman who washed feet with her tears and poured out expensive perfume, making a mess in a room full of important people. She did not offer a single excuse.
She did not promise to be smaller next time. And the light did not ask her to explain herself.
He simply said her many sins were forgiven because she loved much. You do not have to shrink to fit the room.
The love you are afraid of losing by stopping your apologies is the very love that has already accepted you exactly as you are. The darkness gathers, but it cannot hide the truth that you are not too much; you are enough.
