You Do Not Have To Be Full
The day has settled into the room, and with it comes a quiet terror that you are empty. You look at the people who love you and fear you have nothing left to give.
But listen — the light does not run on your supply. It is not a battery you drain by loving.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. He did not wait for the boy to be whole.
He moved while the son was still broken. Your fatigue is real.
Your emptiness is real. But the love that holds you is not yours to manufacture.
It is the one thing you cannot exhaust. You do not have to be full to be held.
