Held When You Cannot See Yourself
The day has settled, and with it comes a quiet panic. You try to summon the shape of your own hands in the dark, but the image slips away before it can form.
It feels like losing the map to your own body. Like the person you were at noon has dissolved into the gathering dark.
But listen — the light does not need your mind's eye to see you. It does not need you to hold a clear picture of yourself to know where you are.
There was a man born blind who never saw his own face, yet the light knew him by name and healed him anyway. Your inability to visualize yourself is not a failure of faith.
It is simply the exhaustion of a mind that has worked too hard to keep everything in focus. The light sees the hands you cannot picture.
It holds the shape you cannot summon. You do not need to see yourself to be held.
You only need to be here, in the dark, letting the One who sees you do the seeing.
