The Light Sees Your Numbness
The day ends, and you hear your own voice on a recording for someone you love. It sounds warm.
It sounds present. But inside, you were numb.
You were somewhere else entirely. That gap between the sound and the feeling is not a lie.
It is a shield you held up so the person you love wouldn't have to carry your darkness tonight. You performed okayness because you cared.
But the light does not need the performance. It sees the numbness underneath the voice.
It sees the exhaustion behind the smile. And it does not ask you to explain the disconnect.
It simply says: neither do I condemn you. Go now.
You do not have to keep pretending. The mask can come down.
The light is waiting for the real you, not the recorded one.
