The Light Meets You In Your Hunger

The day ends, and the armor you wore since morning finally slips. You said too much.

You let them see the crack, the need, the desperate reach—and now the shame is screaming that you were weak. That you exposed yourself.

That you should have kept it hidden. But listen.

When Jesus saw the paralyzed man lowered through the roof, he did not recoil from the mess. He saw their faith and said, 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' He did not ask for composure.

He did not ask you to clean up the exposure before he would speak. The light does not hate your hunger.

It meets you in the exact moment you stop pretending you are full. You think you showed them your brokenness.

The light sees it as the door opening. The regret you feel is just the echo of a lie you've believed for years: that you must be strong to be loved.

But the strength was never the point. The reaching was.

You are not less because you needed. You are human.

And the light is not afraid of your hunger.
