You Are Known Before You Speak
The day ends, and the armor finally comes off. Someone asks how you are, and your mouth opens, but the answer dissolves before it reaches the air.
You do not know who you are anymore beneath the performance. The silence stretches out, heavy and terrifying.
But listen — the light does not need your answer. It does not need your definition or your resume or your explanation of the last five years.
It is satisfied just to sit with you in the quiet. You are not the mask you wore today.
You are not the confusion that fills this room. You are the stillness underneath it all.
The light knows you even when you have forgotten your own name. It waits.
It does not rush to fill the silence. It simply stays.
You do not have to become someone else to be loved tonight. You only have to be the one who is here, breathing, exhaling the weight of pretending.
The question is not 'who are you?' The truth is that you are already known.
