The Light Does Not Require Your Performance
The cursor blinks next to the inbox, a small, steady pulse in the middle of the morning noise. You hover there, finger on the trackpad, because every unread line feels like a summons to prove you belong.
To prove you are enough. To prove you haven't fooled them yet.
The mask is heavy today, and the thought of taking it off—even for a moment—feels like falling. But listen.
The light does not require your performance to recognize you. It saw you before the first email arrived.
It saw you before you learned to wear the smile that says 'I'm fine.' You do not have to earn your place in this world by answering every demand. You are already held.
The Father's light was inside you before you opened your eyes this morning, and it will be there after you close the tab. You are not your productivity.
You are not your responses. You are the child who is loved simply because you exist.
The inbox can wait. The light cannot.
