Send It Trembling and All
The cursor blinks like a heartbeat you are trying to slow down. You type the words, then delete them, then type them again, shaping a version of yourself that looks strong enough to survive the silence.
Your hands tremble because you are holding back the truth of how much you need them, afraid that needing is the same as being too much. But there is a Father who watches the road, not waiting for your perfect speech, but running toward you while you are still a long way off.
He does not require you to edit your hunger before you speak. The light that lives inside you is not a performance to be polished; it is a presence that already knows your name and loves the raw, unedited sound of your voice.
You do not have to rewrite the message to be worthy of a reply. Send it as you are, trembling and all, because the one you are reaching for is already reaching back.
