The Light Stays When You Delete
The cursor blinks in the silence of a room that feels too large for one person. You type the words that would finally say, 'I cannot do this alone.' Your thumb hovers over the send button, trembling with the weight of being seen.
Then, slowly, you press backspace. One character at a time.
The plea dissolves until the screen is blank again, and the darkness wins another round. But listen — the light does not require your message to find you.
It was already in the room before you opened your eyes. It sat with you while you typed, and it stayed while you deleted.
You do not have to speak to be held. The silence is not empty; it is full of a presence that knows exactly what you tried to say.
