pretending to believe something you do not believe anymore

The Light Waits for Your Honesty

The coffee is warm in your hand, but your chest feels hollow. You are smiling at the right moments, nodding when they expect you to nod, wearing the mask of belief like a heavy coat in summer. It is exhausting to perform a faith that has gone quiet inside you. To speak words you no longer feel. To pretend the light is bright when you are standing in the shadow.

But listen. The light does not need your performance. It never asked for a perfect speech or a flawless act. It only wants the truth. Even if that truth is doubt. Even if that truth is silence.

There is a promise that whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed. The mask you wear is the hiding. The ache you feel is the truth trying to come out. You do not have to hold the door shut anymore. The light is not afraid of your unbelief. It is waiting for your honesty.

Drop the act. The real you is the only one the light can hold.
