The Light Lives in the Now
The clock reads 3:47 AM and the scene is playing again — the exact second their eyes went flat, the moment the connection severed. You are trying to rewind a tape that has already been erased.
You are bargaining with a ghost. But the light does not live in the past tense.
It lives in the now. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world — even this dark room where you are sitting alone with your regret.
The moment you cannot change is not the final word. The light that was present then is present now, waiting for you to stop looking backward and start shining forward.
You are not defined by the eyes that looked away. You are defined by the light that refuses to go out.
