You Are Known Before You Speak
The ceiling is white in the dark, but your mind is replaying a conversation that hasn't happened yet. You are rehearsing lines, polishing arguments, terrified that if you don't find the perfect words tonight, you will finally be exposed as a fraud tomorrow.
The gathering dark loves to convince you that your worth depends on your performance. But there is a truth that lives in you, deeper than any script you could write.
The light does not need your eloquence to shine through your cracks. It was there before you learned to speak, and it remains when you are silent.
You are not a fraud waiting to be found out; you are a child who is already known. Stop trying to earn your place in the morning with tonight's worry.
The words will come when the sun rises, but for now, you are safe even in the silence.
