You Do Not Have to Generate the Dawn
The ceiling is still gray. The house is quiet, but your chest is already tight with the weight of the performance you know is coming.
You have to manufacture a cheerful voice before your soul has even opened its eyes. You have to be the light for others when you feel like a hollow shell.
But listen — the light does not ask you to pretend. It does not need your mask.
There is a rising sun coming from heaven, not because you earned it, but because of tender mercy. It shines on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death before they even move.
You do not have to generate the dawn. You only have to receive it.
The courage of this morning is not in your smile. It is in the simple, quiet act of waking up while the world is still heavy.
The light is already here, waiting for you to stop performing and just breathe.
