You Are the Light Holding Grief
The blue light of the screen is the only thing moving in this quiet house. You stop at the last photo where you were both smiling, frozen in a moment that felt like safety, before you knew the ending was already walking toward you.
You are trying to memorize the feeling of that day, as if holding your breath could keep the world from turning. But the light does not live in the past, and it does not live in the picture.
It lives in the one who is looking. The darkness has not overcome the light that is still beating in your chest right now.
You are not the grief you are carrying. You are the light that holds it.
