You Are Safe Because You Are Held
The armor feels heavy right now, doesn't it? You are standing in the doorway of the evening, tired from holding your breath all day, terrified that if you finally let your guard down, someone will use your softness as a weapon against you.
You have learned to treat your own heart like a crime scene—something to be protected from prosecutors who are waiting to twist your pain into evidence of your guilt. But listen.
There is a Father who does not keep a ledger of your failures to use in court. He does not wait for you to drop your shield so He can strike.
He runs. Before you can even finish your apology, before you can explain why you were vulnerable, He is already there with arms open wide.
He does not see a case to build; He sees a child to hold. The light inside you is not a weakness for the world to exploit; it is the very thing that makes you untouchable by shame.
You do not have to prove your safety before you are safe. You are safe because you are held.
