Laying the Gavel Down in Silence
The argument is still running in your head, a loop you cannot stop, even though you know the room is empty. You are rehearsing the perfect defense for an audience that left the building years ago.
The light does not need your case closed. It does not need you to win a debate that no one is hearing.
Split a piece of wood, and the light is there. Lift up a stone, and the light is there.
It is not waiting for your final word to arrive. It is already inside the silence you are trying to fill.
The victory is not in being understood by them. The victory is in finally laying the gavel down.
