The Sun Shines Even Through Closed Doors
The afternoon sun is unforgiving. It shows the dust on every surface and the fatigue in your hands.
You are replaying the moment your voice cracked—how you tried to explain your heart, only to watch their face close like a door sliding into its frame. That memory loops in the middle of the day, louder than the work around you.
You feel the silence they gave you, heavy and final. But listen—the light does not require your explanation to remain inside you.
Their closed face could not shut out the sun, and their silence could not extinguish the life that was placed in you before you spoke a single word. You tried to make yourself understood, but you were already known.
The light saw the attempt, and it saw the rejection, and it stayed right where it was—unmoved, unbroken, alive in your chest. You do not need to reopen the door to be whole.
The sun is still shining, even through the glass.
