The Light Walks Beside Your Error
The afternoon sun is unforgiving. It shines on the mistake you made an hour ago, the word that landed wrong, the silence that stretched too long.
You are replaying it on a loop, convinced that everyone saw it, that everyone is talking about it right now. But the light sees something different.
It sees the crowd not as judges, but as people just as distracted by their own stumbles as you are by yours. You are not the center of their attention; you are simply a fellow traveler, walking through the middle of the day with the same heavy heart they carry.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. That light is not dimmed by your awkwardness.
It is not waiting for you to be perfect before it shines through you. The moment has passed.
The judgment you fear is a ghost. The only thing that remains real is the light that walked beside you through the error and is still walking beside you now.
