Your honesty was a door opening
The afternoon sun is unforgiving. It exposes the dust motes dancing in the air and the cracks in the pavement you missed this morning.
And it exposes that moment hours ago when you spoke your truth, only to spend the since convincing yourself it was a clumsy performance. You replay the scene, analyzing every pause, every stumble, sure that everyone saw through your honesty and labeled it manipulation.
But the light does not operate in the shadows of your self-doubt. Jesus stood before the crowds, harassed and helpless, and felt only compassion—not judgment.
He sees the exhaustion behind your over-analysis. There is a spirit within you that is pure, honest, and uncalculated.
The noise in your head is just the middle of the day trying to convince you that you are alone in your imperfection. You are not.
The light that lives in you is the same light that lived in him. It does not calculate.
It simply shines. Your honesty was not a trap; it was a door opening.
