Stop Rehearsing With A Ghost
The afternoon sun is unforgiving. It exposes the script you are running on a loop in your head—the perfect sentence you wish you had said.
You say it again. And again.
Until the memory of their face blurs into the version you created in your mind. You are arguing with a ghost of your own making.
The real person is gone. The real moment is passed.
But the light is here. Right now.
In the middle of this long, exhausting day. It does not need your edited version of the past.
It only needs your presence in this unedited moment. Stop rehearsing.
The light is not in the script. It is in the silence between the words you didn't say.
