The Light That Simply Stays
The afternoon sun is high, but inside, the light feels dimmed by a screen you checked one last time. You saw they were online.
You saw the green dot. And you felt the sickness rise because the reply never came.
In this long middle of the day, the silence feels like a verdict. But the light does not measure your worth by who answers you and who walks by.
There is a presence that does not need to be online to be with you. It is already here, in the quiet hum of the room, in the breath you are holding right now.
You are not invisible just because one person looked away. The love that holds you does not check a status bar before it stays.
It simply stays. Your value is not a message waiting to be delivered.
