You Are the Place Where Light Lives
The afternoon sun is high, and you are tired of holding up the sky. You walk through the hours feeling like an actor who forgot their lines, waiting for the audience to realize you don't belong on this stage.
But the light does not perform. It simply is.
Split a piece of wood, and the light is there. Lift up a stone, and you will find it there.
It does not need your costume or your script to exist. It was in the wood before you carved it.
It was under the stone before you lifted it. You think your presence is a show you must sustain.
But the truth is quieter than that. You are not the performance.
You are the place where the light lives. And the light never gets tired of shining.
