The Light Sees You Without The Mask
The afternoon sun is high, and the work is heavy, and you are tired of holding up the version of yourself that everyone seems to love. You fear that if you drop the mask, the applause will stop.
But listen — there was a man born blind, and the world decided his condition was a punishment for sin. They judged the surface.
They judged the story they told themselves about him. The light looked at him and saw none of that.
It saw only a canvas for something greater. You have been working so hard to prove you are worthy of the seat at the table.
But the love you received was never for the performance. It was for the person underneath the noise.
The light does not need your productivity to find you. It knows you when you are empty-handed.
Stop trying to earn what has already been given. The mask is heavy, but you were never meant to wear it.
