The Mask Is Heavy But You Are Loved
The afternoon sun is high, and the work feels endless. You keep moving, keep smiling, keep producing, because you are terrified that if you stop, the people around you will see the emptiness underneath.
You believe your worth is a thing you must manufacture every hour, or it will vanish. But there is a voice that speaks into this long middle: come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
The light does not need your performance. It does not need your output.
It is not impressed by your speed. It is waiting for you to be still.
The mask is heavy, but the face beneath it is already loved. You do not have to earn the right to exist.
The rest is not a reward for finishing. It is the place where you remember who you are.
