Letting Go Without Falling Into Nothing
The afternoon sun is high, and the weight of holding on feels heavier than the fear of letting go. You are terrified that if you finally drop the hope you've been carrying, you will collapse into nothingness.
But the light does not require your grip to remain present. There was a man born blind, not as punishment, but so the works of God might be displayed in him.
The darkness was not a verdict; it was a canvas. You do not have to manufacture sight to be seen.
The light is already working in the very place you fear is empty. Stop striving to hold the door open.
The one who is with you does not need your permission to stay. You are not collapsing; you are finally making room for what was already there.
