the paralysis of needing to ask for help but being unable to speak because admitting the need feels like admitting the fraud is real

Let the Ceiling Break

The afternoon sun is high, and the mask feels heavy on your face. You are performing okayness so well that you are afraid if you open your mouth to ask for help, the whole performance will crumble.

Admitting the need feels like admitting the fraud is real. But the light does not require you to hold the roof up by yourself.

There was a moment when a paralyzed man was lowered through a ceiling because he could not speak his way to the front. The light saw the faith of the friends who carried him.

It saw the silence of the one who could not move. And it said: 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' The words came before the walking.

The acceptance came before the effort. You do not have to earn the right to be carried.

The light sees the friends reaching for you even when you are too tired to reach for yourself. Let them lower you.

Let the ceiling break. The fraud is not real—the need is.
