The Message Was Heard
The afternoon sun is bright, but your thumb hovers over a name that no longer answers. You have saved a joke, a silly thought, a piece of your day meant for someone who has gone.
The habit of reaching out remains, even when the hand on the other end is gone. In this long middle of the day, the silence feels heavy.
But the light does not demand you delete the memory or pretend the love never existed. There is a space inside you where that unsent text belongs — not as a wound, but as a testament to what was real.
The light sees the joke. It sees the love that wrote it.
And it holds both the laughter and the grief without asking you to choose. You are not defined by the silence of the other person.
You are defined by the love that still wants to speak. Go in peace.
The message was heard, even if it was never sent.
