The Light That Remains Unbroken
The afternoon sun is bright, but you are carrying a shadow that doesn't belong to this hour. It is the heavy, phantom weight of the version of yourself who tried so hard and still failed.
You feel the ghost of that effort pressing down, a silence where a victory should have been. The light does not ask you to explain why the attempt fell short.
It simply sits with you in the middle of the day, acknowledging the ache without trying to fix it. There is a peace that is not like the world's peace, a quiet that exists even when the results are missing.
You are not defined by the attempt that broke, but by the presence that remains unbroken inside you. The version of you that failed is real, but it is not the whole story.
The light is still here, waiting in the quiet.
