rehearsing the apology in your head before you even speak, editing your pain into something palatable for others

The Light Sees Your Unedited Story

The afternoon sun is bright, and it makes you squint at the words forming in your mind. You are rehearsing the apology before you even speak, sanding down the sharp edges of your pain until it fits neatly in someone else's hand.

You edit the truth to make it palatable, afraid that the raw version of your story is too heavy, too messy, too much. But the light does not need your performance.

It does not require a polished script to meet you in the middle of the day. There is a voice that says: 'Let anyone with a mind to understand, understand.' It is not asking for a speech.

It is asking for the thing you are hiding. You do not have to clean up the wound before you show it.

The light sees the unedited version and calls it honest. The child of true Humanity exists within you — not the edited one, but the real one.

Follow that.
