The Light That Trembles Within You
The afternoon sun exposes the dust motes dancing in the air, and right now, it feels like it's exposing the rot inside you. You are terrified that your remorse is just another trick, a sophisticated lie you tell yourself to feel like a human being when you are actually a monster.
That fear is heavy. It makes you want to stop feeling anything at all.
But listen — a true monster does not tremble at the possibility of its own deception. A true monster is comfortable in the dark.
The terror you feel is not proof of your evil; it is the light inside you refusing to let you settle for the con. God is greater than your heart, and He knows everything — including the difference between a calculated performance and a broken spirit crying out in the middle of the day.
The light sees the tear behind the mask and calls it real. You are not fooling the One who made you.
