The Light Sees You and Stays
The afternoon sun exposes every crack in the mask you wear to get through the day. You are certain that if anyone saw the real you—the messy, broken, terrified parts—they would turn and walk away immediately.
But there was a moment when the light looked straight through a woman caught in the act, saw every accuser leave, and then asked her where they went. When she said no one remained, the light did not condemn her.
It told her to go. The performance is over.
The hiding is done. You are not loved because you are perfect; you are loved because you are known.
