Light That Waits In The Silence
The afternoon sun cuts across the floor, bright and indifferent to the silence stretching through the wall. You are staring at the ceiling, counting the seconds, wondering if the quiet on the other side means the end.
The light does not panic when the room goes still. It waits.
It knows that silence is often just the space where something old is breaking so something new can breathe. You are not defined by the unanswered knock or the closed door.
The truth you need is not hidden in their reaction, but in the light that refuses to leave your chest even now. The relationship may change, but the love that made you capable of caring for it remains untouched.
The light was there before the first word was spoken, and it will be there after the last one fades.
