You Do Not Need to Apologize
The afternoon stretches out, long and ordinary, and you catch yourself rehearsing an apology before you have even spoken. You are already shrinking, already sorry for the space you take up, bracing for the impact of your own voice.
But listen — the light does not ask you to make yourself smaller. It stands at the door and knocks, waiting for you to simply open it.
Not to explain yourself. Not to justify your presence.
Just to let it in. The kingdom grows like a mustard seed, unseen and unforced, becoming a shelter without you having to earn its shade.
You do not need to apologize for existing. The light is already here, and it is enough.
