The Light Is Already There
The afternoon stretches out, long and heavy, while you lie there counting the minutes until you have to face them again. You are rehearsing speeches in your head, crafting apologies that will never leave your lips, terrified of the moment the door opens.
But the light does not need your perfect words to meet you in that room. It has already gone ahead of you, sitting at the table before you arrive.
You do not have to fix the silence or solve the tension before you walk in. The light is sufficient for the awkwardness, sufficient for the unsaid things, sufficient for the fear.
Just show up. The rest is held.
