The Wall You Built From Silence
The afternoon stretches out, long and gray, filled with the quiet hum of routines you built to keep the world at arm's length. You told yourself silence was safer than speaking, that hiding your voice would protect you from the sting of rejection.
But now, in the middle of this endless day, the only thing buzzing is the phantom vibration of a phone that never rings with an invitation. You are safe, yes.
But you are also entirely alone in a room you locked from the inside. There is a light within you that was never meant to be concealed under a bowl of your own making.
It was placed there to shine, to be seen, to connect you to the people who are waiting for the very thing you are hiding. The safety you clung to has become the very wall that keeps you from the life you were sent to live.
The silence is not a shield; it is a slow suffocation of the one thing that could save you.
