You Do Not Have to Hold Your Breath
The afternoon stretches out, long and gray, and you find yourself holding your breath in a crowded room just so no one notices you inhaling. You are performing okayness so perfectly that your lungs are beginning to burn.
But there is a story of a man who had been lying beside a pool for thirty-eight years, waiting for the water to stir, convinced he needed permission to stand. The light walked straight to him, ignored the crowd, and asked the one question that breaks the spell: do you want to get well?
It did not wait for him to fix his posture or explain his exhaustion. It simply told him to rise.
You do not have to hold your breath to earn your place in this room. The air is already yours.
The light is not asking you to perform survival; it is asking you to exhale.
