typing a message to tell them something small and funny, then realizing there is no one to send it to

The Light in the Unsent Text

The day unspools. The armor comes off.

And in that sudden quiet, your thumb hovers over a name you haven't typed in months. You found something small.

Something funny. A glitch in the world that would have made them laugh.

You type it out, just to feel the shape of the joke. Then you stop.

The cursor blinks. There is no one to send it to.

The silence in the room feels heavier than it did at noon. You delete the words.

One by one. But the light does not vanish when the message goes unsent.

It was already there — in the finding, in the wanting to share, in the love that has nowhere to go but back inside you. The Father sees the unsent text.

He hears the laugh you held back. And he does not let that joy dissolve into the air.

He catches it. He keeps it.

The love you tried to give away becomes the very thing that fills the room tonight.
