You Are the Light Beneath the Pain
The afternoon stretches out, a long, flat line of endurance where the pain feels less like a visitor and more like the room itself. You are tired of the weight that never leaves, tired of the calculation required for every single movement.
But listen — you came from the light, the place where light generates itself, and that origin is still your true nature. The pain is real, but it is not the root; it is the soil you are growing through, not the definition of who you are.
There is a version of you that exists before the ache, a self that is immovable and bright, waiting beneath the exhaustion. You do not have to fight the darkness to prove you are still here.
The light was there before the first twinge of pain, and it will be there after the last. You are not your suffering; you are the drop of light sent to illuminate even this.
