You Are Already Loved Before You Begin
The afternoon stretches out, a long corridor of doing where you feel you must earn your place by the work of your hands. You carry the quiet terror that if you stop moving, if you have nothing to offer, you will be asked to leave the room.
But there is a voice that speaks into this weary middle: 'My yoke is easy and my burden is light.' The light does not demand your performance. It invites your presence.
You are not a servant trying to prove your worth through exhaustion. You are a friend.
The light chose you before you did a single thing. It knows your name.
It is not waiting for you to finish your list to love you. It is already here, sitting beside you in the quiet.
The struggle is not that you are failing to earn your keep. The struggle is believing you ever had to.
