The Light Waits Beyond Your Performance
The afternoon stretches long when you are performing a presence you do not feel. You nodded.
You smiled. You carried on a conversation while your mind was still trapped in the hallway, screaming the sentence you should have said five minutes ago.
The gap between your face and your brain feels like a canyon. But notice this: the light does not require you to be quick.
It does not demand that your words arrive on time to be valid. There is a presence in you that was there before the awkward silence, and it will be there after the meeting ends.
You do not have to chase the moment down and fix it. The light is not in the perfect response.
It is in the quiet truth that you are still here, still breathing, still held even when your timing fails. Bring forth what is within you—the stutter, the delay, the silence—and let that be enough.
The performance is over. You are allowed to just be.
