You Are Healing Because You Noticed
The afternoon stretches long, and your hand reaches for the second mug before you remember you only need one now. It is a small habit, born of a time when you had to carry double the weight just to stay upright.
You do not need to scold yourself for the reaching. The light sees the fatigue underneath the gesture, not the mistake itself.
There is a quiet mercy in this middle hour that says you are allowed to put the extra cup back. You are not failing because you forgot; you are healing because you noticed.
The One who walks beside you knows how much you can carry today, and it is enough.
