The Light Stops For The Broken
The afternoon light is unforgiving. It shows the dust on the shelves and the cracks in the plaster.
You let someone see the unedited version of you, and now you are waiting for the verdict. You are waiting for them to realize they made a mistake.
But listen — the light does not hide in the shadows of your performance. It shines in the plain sight of your honesty.
There is a story of a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years, untouchable and broken. She pushed through the crowd and touched the edge of a cloak.
She did not clean herself up first. She did not present a polished argument.
She reached out from her mess. And the light stopped.
It turned around in the middle of the pressing crowd to find her. It did not scold her for being unedited.
It called her daughter. The terror you feel is the fear that your flaws will drive the love away.
But the only thing that stops the light is the mask you wear to hide them. Take it off.
The air is clearer here. You are not a fraud waiting to be exposed.
You are a human being finally being seen.
