Light Enters Without Perfect Silence
The afternoon light is flat and heavy, pressing against the windows while the house holds its breath. You are walking through the middle of the day carrying the echo of last night's shouting, knowing the thin walls let every angry word seep into the rooms where your children sleep.
It feels like you have poisoned the air they breathe, like the damage is done and the foundation is cracked beyond repair. But listen — the light does not require a perfect silence to enter.
It does not wait for the house to be spotless before it shows up. Jesus said that whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.
The shame you are trying to bury under the routine of the afternoon is already known, already held, and already being brought into the light where it cannot destroy you. You are not defined by the volume of your anger or the fear in your children's eyes last night.
There is a room being prepared for you where the shouting stops and the peace is real. The middle of the day is not your final destination.
It is just the road you are walking right now, and the light is walking it with you.
