The Light Does Not Need Your Noise
The afternoon hums with the noise of things being held together. You are tired of the performance, but you are more afraid of the silence that comes if you stop.
You think the light depends on your movement, on your ability to keep the room from going quiet. But the seed grows all by itself, whether you sleep or get up.
The kingdom works while you are exhausted. The light does not need your noise to exist.
It was there before you started speaking, and it will be there when you finally sit down. You are not the source of the warmth in the room.
You are just the one who forgot you could stop.
