The Light Needs No Receipt
It is late, and the screen is the only light in the room. You refresh the page, pretending you are not watching for the small change that tells you they saw you.
The silence feels heavy. It feels like rejection.
But listen — the light that lives inside you does not need a receipt to know it is real. It does not need a checkmark to know it has arrived.
You are waiting for them to validate your existence, but the truth is already seated within you, independent of their eyes. The kingdom is inside of you, not in that digital space where you are begging for a sign.
Stop looking at the screen. The light is not in the notification.
It is in the quiet ache of your own heart, waiting for you to notice it instead of them.
